The Vizion API will begin to pull the first update for your shipment as soon as you submit valid input. You can expect to receive your first update within 30 seconds but this can sometimes take up to 5 minutes. You will receive an update when a new event has been added or a change to the shipment has occurred. If there is no change to a shipment, an update will not be shared.
If the extraction of your data fails for any reason such as a degraded connection to the carrier or failure parsing the data returned we will reprocess the shipment multiple times in attempts to successfully generate the first update. If failures continue the system will stop reprocessing your shipment and process it again at it's next scheduled update interval.
Update intervals are every 12 hours by default.
