Configuring your tracking frequency

This article discusses what configurable tracking frequency is and how to adjust the update interval

Currently, Vizion checks for new tracking events from carriers and ports every 12 hours.

For some use cases, customers need to check more often. Now, customers can have the frequency of checking for new data configured to be as frequent as every two hours.

The total available options are as follows:

  • 6 hours
  • 3 hours
  • 2 hours

We describe more about updates and the tracking frequency here.

While checking more frequently than 12 hours may be appealing to you, this does not guarantee that you will see updates with each check.

If the data has not changed, the tracking reference will be marked as receiving a duplicate payload and attempt another update based on the newly configured interval.

Once new tracking data is actually available, it may appear as an update for your reference sooner than the default interval of 12 hours depending on the timing.

How do I configure my tracking frequency?

This is currently a setting that is configurable on the Support side and not accessible by users.
