This article details how to find the current or most recent status of a shipment.
To find the current status of a shipment the carrier must be reporting future events.
If a carrier is reporting estimated events (Current Status):
If a carrier is reporting future events you will see events identified as: [planned] = true reported. If you are seeing "[planned] = true" events for a shipment- locate the event with the min timestamp. This event will be the current status of the shipment.
Carriers, in some cases, do not report all estimated events and it is not guaranteed that the current event is the move actually taking place. If there is an unreported estimated event it may be the current event.
If a carrier is NOT reporting future events (Most Recent Status):
If a carrier is not reporting future events you will see events identified as: [planned = false] reported. If you are seeing "[planned] = false" events for a shipment- locate the event among them with the max timestamp. This will be the most recent status reported for a shipment, but may not be current.
