Vizion's Container Tracking API is the best way to access clean, up to date information on your shipments. Whether you require visibility for 10 shipments annually or 1,000,000+ you can easily and accurately monitor each of them as your systems and users require.
Vizion sources data for your shipment from sources such as ocean carriers, terminals, and customs before cleaning, standardizing, and enriching the data for use. All updates Vizion provides for a shipment are in JSON format and standard schema regardless of carrier or data source, this makes it easy to begin utilizing the data in your systems immediately. To make sure updates are received in a timely manner we offer webhooks so that Vizion can push you the most recent data about your shipments as soon as we receive them. A GET endpoint is also available.
What you can do with the API is guided by your need to drive value and serve your end customers internally and/or externally. Whether you are integrating into an existing system (think ERP, TMS, or WMS) or a new application not yet developed our data allows for flexibility to fulfil many different needs. Customers today use Vizion to better manage inventory in transit to maximize warehouse utilization, cut down on demurrage fees, and reduce latency in providing data to downstream logistic events.
While some use cases only require updates on major events for a shipment other use cases may require constant monitoring of a vessel location, more detailed rail events, or customs data.
